COMMON PROBLEMS
01
Anxiety
Anxiety can feel like constant worry, racing thoughts, or physical symptoms such as a tight chest or difficulty sleeping. It may be linked to specific situations or feel present most of the time. Counselling helps explore triggers, reduce overwhelm, and develop coping strategies.
02
Depression / Low Mood
Low mood can involve persistent sadness, loss of motivation, fatigue, or feeling disconnected from others. Counselling offers a supportive space to understand these feelings and gently work towards hope and renewed direction.
03
Stress & Burnout
Ongoing pressure from work, family, or life changes can leave you feeling exhausted and unable to switch off. Therapy can help you identify stressors, set healthier boundaries, and restore balance.
04
Relationship Difficulties
Challenges in relationships — with partners, family members, friends, or colleagues — can cause confusion and emotional pain. Counselling can support clearer communication, deeper understanding, and healthier patterns.
05
Bereavement & Loss
Grief affects everyone differently. Whether your loss is recent or from many years ago, counselling provides a compassionate space to process emotions and adjust at your own pace.
06
Low Self-Esteem
Struggling with self-worth can impact decisions, relationships, and confidence. Therapy can help you explore where these beliefs began and build a stronger, more compassionate sense of self.
07
Trauma
Past traumatic experiences can continue to affect thoughts, emotions, and behaviour. Counselling offers a safe environment to process these experiences carefully and at a pace that feels manageable.
08
Life Transitions
Major life changes — such as moving, career shifts, becoming a parent, relationship changes, or retirement — can bring uncertainty and self-doubt. Counselling can help you navigate change and regain a sense of stability.
09
LGBTQ+ Support
We offer an inclusive and affirming space for those who identify as LGBTQ+. You may wish to explore questions around identity, coming out, relationships, family dynamics, or experiences of discrimination. Counselling can provide a safe, respectful environment where you are fully accepted and supported.
10
Autism & ADHD Awareness (Neurodiversity)
We recognise and value neurodiversity, including autism and ADHD. Whether you have a formal diagnosis, are self-identifying, or are exploring the possibility of assessment, counselling can help you better understand your experiences, manage challenges such as sensory overwhelm or executive functioning difficulties, and build on your strengths. Our approach is respectful, informed, and adapted to suit individual needs.
11
Feeling “Stuck”
Sometimes there isn’t one clear problem — just a sense that something isn’t right. Counselling provides space to reflect, gain clarity, and consider new possibilities for growth
